Application Procedure
- Please complete the application form. The applicant may use the "Program
Application" form for DMCUL or the "MTIMPM Application Form". Answer all questions. Application, application fee, transcripts and evaluations must be postmarked by
October 15th for the class starting in August and January. Items postmarked after
October 15th will be rejected.
- Application fee is $10.00 payable to THE DETROIT MEDICAL CENTER. Fee is not refundable.
Request that an official transcript (Advisor copy is acceptable) (on-line transcripts are
not acceptable) from all colleges and Universities you have attended be sent to:

Foreign degree transcripts must be accompanied by a U.S. degree equivalency evaluation. Foreign degree transcript evaluation must show break down of subject and subject grades. We do not accept international students. Our program is not recognized by immigrations.

- Submit references from two undergraduate academic science faculty members or one from a science faculty member and one from an employer. Please have evaluator use evaluation form "School of Medical Technology Student Evaluation Form" found on-line or the evaluation form from the MTIMP web site. Evaluations from friends and relatives are NOT ACCEPTABLE. General Letters of recommendation are NOT ACCEPTABLE.
- Submit a course plan. You can get a form from the MTIMP web site.

You will be notified by mail as items above are received. If you DO NOT receive notice within two weeks after sending an item, please call.
- Personal interviews are required. Interviews are scheduled from August 15th to
November 15th. Interviews will be scheduled in early August by special request. Interviews are not scheduled during holiday breaks. Interviews will only be scheduled if your application file is complete. When you have been notified that your file is complete, please call the Program Director, School of Medical Technology 313 9930482 or (800) 456-2154. Please ask the secretary to page the Program Director, School of Medical Technology, if he/she is not in his/her office, leave a telephone number with the time of day where you can be reached. The interview/tour will take about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. If a message is left on the answering machine, please talk slowly and clearly, giving telephone number twice.
- It is the applicant’s responsibility to notify the Program Director if there are any changes in the information requested on the application form. Ex: name, address, phone number, e-mail address, etc.
