Cytotechnology

ADMISSION PRE-REQUISITES

You are qualified to apply to the program if:
  1. You have completed a minimum of 20 semester hours (30 quarter hours) of biological sciences (e.g., histology, anatomy & physiology, general biology, cell biology, genetics, etc.), 8 semester hours (12 quarter hours) of chemistry and 3 semester hours (4 quarter hours) of mathematics or statistics.

  2. AND

  3. You meet one of the following requirements:
  4. a. A student from Wayne Sate University’s Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences/Cytotechnology program* (student will obtain baccalaureate degree upon completion or already possess a baccalaureate degree)
    OR

    b. A student from an affiliated (3+1) academic institution (student will obtain baccalaureate degree upon completion or already possess a baccalaureate degree)
    OR

    c. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university

    AND

  5. You have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.5. A grade point average in the sciences subjects of 3.0 or better is preferred.
*Applicants fulfilling the requirements under criteria 2a are given preference over other applicants due to their prior affiliation agreement with Wayne State University.
